Come learn about the vast range of traditions, beliefs, and laws that shape one of the world’s oldest religions, Judaism.
Join us on Tuesday 4 November, 11am-3pm in the LUU Precinct (right outside the front of the LUU building) for Jewish Culture Day– an event filled with discovering traditions, beliefs, and everyday faith-filled practices and activities.
Featuring a special exhibition and stalls hosted by LUU’s Jewish Society, Jsoc, the event aims to educate, inform, and share insight into Jewish life, culture, and heritage. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about Jewish traditions, laws, festivals, and find more about what life looks like for Jewish people across different backgrounds and communities- and of course, life here on campus!
Your Union is proud to be home to a vibrant, multicultural, and multi-faith student community. Living and learning alongside people from different backgrounds and beliefs is one of the most rewarding parts of university life. Taking the time to understand those differences helps to strengthen our shared values and fosters respect, inclusion, and a stronger sense of belonging and community on campus.
Getting to know more about religions and cultures, such as Judaism this Jewish Culture Day, helps us celebrate diversity and grow our awareness of the world around us.
Through Jewish Culture Day, we aim to promote understanding, connection, and a genuine sense of belonging for everyone.
