Leeds University Union’s Students Against Sexual Harassment and Assault (SASHA) society and LUU Union Affairs and Communications Officer Amara Relf have joined forces to create a SASHA accreditation for clubs and societies at LUU.
On Wednesday 20 May, 19 LUU clubs and societies received SASHA accreditation at a special celebration event held at Terrace bar.
The accreditation plays an active role in creating a safer campus culture, where consent and respect are cornerstones of student life.
Receiving SASHA Accreditation helps clubs and societies stand out as safe places, with core members dedicated to upholding SASHA’s standards.
As part of the accreditation, clubs and societies promise to remain consensual and respectful and to act against sexual harassment and assault on campus.
Societies receive training from an LUU Consent Ambassador, turning their knowledge into action by completing a set of criteria in partnership with LUU and SASHA.
SASHA Accreditation will ensure that your society is a safe place for all members. Find out how to get SASHA accredited.
We would like to thank all societies that have shown their support for the SASHA Accreditation this year.
