With hundreds of employees, 350+ Clubs and Societies, and thousands of students involved, it can seem confusing. But we promise that behind it all, we’re making exciting things happen!

At its core, Leeds University Union is a hub for student life. From Clubs and Societies, Advice and Wellbeing, and campus events, we’re constantly working alongside students to make your Union the best that it can be.

Your Student Exec

Our Student Exec are key changemakers at LUU- representing your voice, highlighting your concerns, and making big decisions. Elected by you each year during the LeadLUU elections, our Exec ensures that the student voice drives everything that we do.

Your Impact At LUU

Every five years, we review our strategy- a plan that sets our vision, priorities, and goals for the years ahead.

The Strategy Survey is a vital part of that process, ensuring that our future plans truly reflect students’ needs.

Whilst the Student Exec lead, it is YOU that guides these decisions. Your survey feedback will determine the next five years of your Union. From new initiatives to improved wellbeing support, societies, and social spaces- this is your opportunity to help create an exciting future for our diverse student community, to champion underrepresented voices, and make your voice heard.

Student input shapes every corner of the Union. Your ideas have already created real change across campus- such as Essentials… You asked for support during the cost of living crisis, so we launched Essentials, a basic needs hub, providing free essential goods and services to help ease financial pressures.

All of these initiatives were created by students, for students, based on feedback from YOU!

We’re making sure that your voice doesn’t just spark change- but that we celebrate it, too!
