Let’s take a look at the Faculty Engagement Leaders, and what these Student Leaders will do.
The role of an Faculty Engagement Leader is vital to the restructuring of LUU..
The brand-new Faculty Engagement Leaders are going to be an incredible addition to your Union.
These 5 officers will ensure that your faculty has a clear and positive relationship with LUU, and assist with leading on student academic support systems.
They willl represent combinations of different faculties within the university, and bring their input to meetings and discussions about university relations.
These roles are perfectly designed to do alongside your studies, and therefore do not require election winners to undertake a sabbatical year or to be completed at the end of your studies.
We ask that only members of each Faculty apply for these roles.
This ensures that the student LUU works with is intrinsically tied to the students of their faculty, and can bring input from peers to every discussion. This means they can make accurate, necessary change within their own student community, and watch the difference it makes unfold.
They will work alongside the Welfare and Liberation Officer, focusing on making our space and community as accessible, safe, and comfortable as possible- with consideration for everyone.
Giving these communities a voice ensures that LUU is the open, happy space that we aim for it to be.
Biological Sciences, Medicine and Health Engagement Leader:
This role will work with the students across the faculty of Medicine, Health and Biological Sciences to ensure they have the necessary support from both LUU and the university for their academic journey.
Engineering and Physical Science Engagement Leader:
This role will work with the students across the faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences to ensure they have the necessary support from both LUU and the university for their academic journey.
Arts, Humanities and Culture Engagement Leader:
This role will work with the students across the faculty of Arts, Humanities and Culture to ensure they have the necessary support from both LUU and the university for their academic journey.
Leeds University Business School Engagement Leader:
This role will work with the students across the faculty of Business (Leeds University Business School) to ensure they have the necessary support from both LUU and the university for their academic journey.
Social Sciences and Environment Engagement Leader:
This role will work with the students across the faculty of Social Sciences and Environment to ensure they have the necessary support from both LUU and the university for their academic journey.
