Here at Leeds University Union, we’re proud of our range of spaces and places, and are excited to be able to offer these to groups across our city and beyond. Whether you’re a business looking for a place to meet away from the office, a student hosting a birthday party, or a couple tying the knot, LUU may have the space for you.

Riley Smith Theatre
The Riley Smith Theatre is our oldest, most established venue, having hosted countless performances and ceremonies through the years. This includes the annual Riley Awards, at least 5 student musicals per year, and tons of society dance performances.
Pyramid Theatre
Did you know Pyramid Theatre is one of only six purpose built in-the-round theatres in the UK? Take your performance to the next level and let the audience see you from every angle.
This special space can seat up to 200 people and can also be set up as a 160-seat studio theatre. It is used to host theatre and dance performances, comedy nights and film screenings.
Pyramid Canteen
Pyramid Canteen is a space for students to study, eat and chill. Whether it’s a quick pit stop for lunch, or a more relaxed spot to study, Pyramid Canteen is a versatile hired space. With a small stage, an on-request bar, and great acoustics, it is perfect for small performances, choirs and fundraising events.
Function
Function is an incredibly flexible space, that can become anything you need it to be. With tons of empty space, this venue could become a perfect location for society events, meetings, performances and more! Let us know what the plan is, and we can book it out for you!
Dance Studios
Scarlett, Mango, Skye and Jade Studios are our lovely dance studios. They are purpose built, with danceable floors, great acoustics and floor to ceiling mirrors, perfect for any rehearsal you may have. From dance performances to music, each studio is decked out with a piano and bluetooth speakers.
Second Floor Rooms
The second-floor rooms are wonderfully versatile spaces, with big fold out tables and chairs, as well as tons of space for movement. These spaces can be used for meetings throughout the day, and music rehearsal after 5, and are perfect for all your society-based needs.
