Here at Leeds University Union there are more than 350 clubs and societies for you to join.
If you’re wondering how to make friends at University, they’re your answer.
These student-led groups are the perfect way to meet other Leeds students, pick up or develop interests and skills, and to find your people at Uni.
With so many different clubs and societies, there’s bound to be something for you.
From Aviation to Anime, we have many groups to choose from under each of the following categories: academic, culture, dance, faith, general interest, martial arts, media, music and performance, outdoor, political and campaigning, sports, volunteering and welfare.
There are lots of ways to find the right Leeds clubs and societies for you. The simplest way is to set aside some time to scroll through our online listings and see what appeals to you, but if you’re really not sure or want to try something new, why not use our Find Your Fit tool?
Find Your Fit is a 60 second online quiz that suggests clubs and societies for you to try out based on your interests, time and budget, and could be a great time saver which suggests some unexpected gems.
We’re also proud of our Give It A Go scheme, which is the perfect way to introduce yourself to LUU life. Give It A Go runs every semester and is your fast-track into all the activities student life offers at Leeds. It’s a fantastic way to try something new with one of our clubs and societies without having to commit to membership – and you could even make uni friends there too.
If there’s a society you’d like to join but it doesn’t exist yet, you’ve got the power to change that. If you reckon your idea could be a winner, check out how to go about setting up your own society.
Remember, clubs and societies aren’t just for first year students. Students at any year or level of study are encouraged to get involved – the friend-making and fun doesn’t stop after first year!
Visit Engage and sign in with your student login to sign up to the clubs and societies you click with (and more) – you’ll need to have your @leeds.ac.uk account first.
